Before setting it up, choose a level surface that can comfortably support its weight. Because salt naturally attracts moisture from the air, all Himalayan salt lamps are best kept in a dry indoor environment. In humid conditions you may occasionally notice moisture on the surface. If this happens, gently wipe the salt with a dry cloth. Do not wash, soak or place the lamp in a damp bathroom or directly beside a sink, open window or other source of moisture. Always follow normal electrical safety guidance and keep the cable and fitting dry.

The extra-large lamp is supplied with a 1.5 metre UK light fitting and bulb. Natural variation means that exact height, width, shade, markings and translucency will differ from piece to piece across all sizes. Some lamps may be taller and narrower, others broader and more rugged; these differences are part of the character of genuine salt rock rather than faults.
