How to use safely
If you choose to burn your bundle, use a heat-resistant fireproof dish or bowl underneath it. Light the end carefully, allow a small flame to establish briefly, then extinguish the flame so the bundle smoulders rather than burns continuously. Keep the bundle over your dish while in use to catch ash or embers. Use in a well-ventilated room, keep well away from curtains, paper, clothing, pets and children, and never leave any smouldering botanical material unattended. When finished, extinguish it completely and check that there is no remaining heat or ember before putting it away.

You do not have to burn a bundle to enjoy it. Some people keep dried botanicals on an altar, use them as part of a symbolic display, or simply enjoy their natural appearance and fragrance without lighting them at all. Your own practice can be as simple or as ceremonial as you prefer.
